One of my girlfriends came over this weekend to check out my designs. She absolutely loves crystal jewelry. And you guessed it, I did not have one crystal piece to show her. I thought, this will not happen to me again. I will make myself come up with some bling for her and others…But she brought over some crystal beads that she wanted worked into a few pieces. So we sat down and brainstormed with some components that I keep on hand, and we came up with some really nice ideas together. As a result, I have two new crystal earring pictures to share with you. After I finished assembling these earrings, I took a step back and thought…oh yeah, I like these! Perhaps I had a mental block from how crystal necklaces were made when I was growing up. You remember the gold thread that almost, and I stress almost, looked like a chain and the crystals would not fill up the necklace, but slide around on it. Oh and the clasp was a screw type that was absolutely awful to try to fasten without fraying the thread. I don’t even remember earrings. I was not crazy about the look then and definitely not now. But crystal jewelry has come a long way. I hope what you see here, now, and in the future will be a fresh take on crystal jewelry. So for those of you that love crystals, keep me in mind.
